Hello!  I’m Liesl Kyle Ehardt, and my initials are what the LKE stands for before the word designs.

I am a creative person at heart who wears a smile daily and has always had a love for design.  Be it DIY projects, homemade greeting cards and invitations, website design, layout design and everything in between.

I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Acting, and have spent the past 15 years working as a professional SAG-AFTRA actor on TV and Film (from "Dawson's Creek" to "Mad Men") in Los Angeles and NYC.

However, the industry left me feeling unfulfilled.  I was in need of an outlet that allowed me to help and give back to others, while still be creative and put my passion for design to use.

During my transition, I began volunteering as a weekly mentor with Free Arts NYC.  A non-profit after school arts program for underprivileged children without art in school.  It gives them a free, open and safe space to be creative, something I would have been lost without growing up.


Ultimately, I found that I’m genuinely happy and most inspired by children and creativity. Whether it's those in the program or time with my friends' children and nephews.

So, while helping 2nd graders in Harlem and spending time with friends' and families' kids, they all, ironically, ended up helping guide me towards my new, creative path.

From all of this, LKE designs was born.  I'm excited to see where this adventure takes me, and sending smiles your way throughout the journey.
